As a college student, she earned the distinction of being an University of Arizona All-American first baseman and pitcher. She was awarded the Honda Award, given to the best softball players in America in 2001 after the Wildcats were awarded the title of national champions and, in 2002, was won by her. Wounded Warrior (WWAST's) objective is to increase awareness about the resilience and sacrifices our troops make through softball exhibitions.
